HKSKH St Mark’s Church celebrates its 56th anniversary

HKSKH St Mark’s Church celebrated its 56th anniversary and held a confirmation service on 23 April. Bishop Timothy Kwok presided over the ceremony and preached the sermon. Sixteen brothers and sisters were confirmed. Following the Eucharist, the church launched its fundraising programme and hosted a love feast.

Bishop Kwok quoted Thomas the Apostle’s road to faith in the Gospel of John in his sermon. He emphasized the importance of maintaining faith during a time of hardship and that faith is solidified through doubt.

The church aims to raise $1.7 million to replace its floor tiles and benches and maintain its exterior walls. On 28 May, charity sales booths will open at St Mark’s Church after the worship and a walkathon will start at 2:30 pm.
