Organized by the Committee of Liturgical Worship of the Diocese of Hong Kong Island and run by the Revd Dr Lam Chun-wai, the workshop was attended by almost ninety people. Many topics were discussed. The attendees asked all sorts of questions, from the chancel furnishings to the lighting of candles, and from the history and significance of the cross to why postures matter in worship. Dr Lam explained that furnishings in a church are not merely there for decorative purposes. Each piece fosters faith in a non-textual way. Dr Lam reminded the attendees to pay attention to the rubrics in the liturgical texts for different feasts and seasons. He also encourages attendees to ask questions whenever they encounter something they do not understand to avoid misconceptions.
