St Stephen's Church College sweeps prizes at paper plane contests

The Hong Kong Paper Airplane Contest 2017 was held on 4 July. St Stephen's Church College bagged gold, silver, and bronze awards at the junior secondary division and gold and bronze awards at the senior secondary division. Furthermore, the school’s team swept gold, silver and bronze prizes at the Hong Kong qualifying session of JAL Origami Plane Asian Competition on 15 July. St Stephen’s is dedicated to STEM education. Mr Yiu Yun-yip, the school’s physics teacher, said that creating paper planes required knowledge of sports science and aviation theory. This activity encouraged students to study the sciences, polish their techniques, and cultivate their spirit of perseverance.
