HKSKH Welfare Council creates Guinness World Record at community event

“Together We Build” is an activity to rouse public interest in community building, social integration, architecture, and design. Two thousand participants gathered at the Central Harbourfront Event Space on 25 and 26 August to build a maze of 5,000 square metres with wooden pallets in the shape of “HK”. The maze created a Guinness World Record by having the longest line of pallets at 1,020.48 metres.

Also at the event were twenty pieces of public furniture on display. A part of each piece was transformed into a sedan chair for a sedan chair race. The exhibits will be put to use at different social service units under the Welfare Council after the event.
