Animal blessing service at All Saints’ Cathedral
Publish Date: 09-Oct-2017
A blessing
service for animals was held on 1 October at All Saints’ Cathedral. Almost a
hundred Christians and non-Christians attended the service with their pets to receive
blessings from the Lord through the clergy. During the homily, the Revd
Jonathan Chee reminded all owners that they must take good care of their pets
even as the animals aged and lost the sparkle in their eyes or the sheen on
their fur, because pets and owners shared an emotional bond. On that day, the cathedral also provided pet adoption services and held a charity bazaar where HKSKH Lady MacLehose Centre PetZone, Non-Profit Making Veterinary Services Society, Hong Kong Society of Herpetology Foundation, and Hong Kong Animal Assisted Therapy Association were present in the booths.
