Ecumenical dialogue marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation

A seminar was held on 28 September to mark the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Formed under the initiative of the Hong Kong Catholic Diocesan Ecumenical Commission and Hong Kong Christian Council’s Church Unity and Relations Committee, the Theological Dialogue Group was the organizer of this ecumenical event. The Revd Peter Choy, president of the Holy Spirit Seminary College of Theology and Philosophy, and the Revd Po Kam-cheong, general secretary of the Hong Kong Christian Council, spoke on the theme “Prospects of Unity”. Delegates from different Christian denominations and fifty Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui clerics, including Archbishop Paul Kwong, Bishop Andrew Chan, and Bishop Timothy Kwok, attended the seminar and witnessed the churches’ ecumenical efforts.
