The Asia Mission Conference (AMC) was held on 12–16 October. It marked the sixtieth anniversary of the Christian Conference of Asia. The theme was Journey Together: Prophetic Witness to Truth & Light in Asia. Six hundred representatives from different denominations around the world went to Yangon, Myanmar to participate in the AMC, including Dean Samson Fan. Bishop Andrew Chan who was also in Myanmar for the Council of the Church in East Asia Bishops’ Meeting also attended the AMC to deliver a speech for Archbishop Paul Kwong, who was not able attend. On the last day of the conference, the delegates endorsed a mission statement. It steered the development of churches in Asia by identifying the responsibilities entailed by the mission from Christ and the challenges that the churches have to face together.
