Josephine Lee to become CEO of St James’ Settlement

After nearly thirty years of service at St James’ Settlement, Mrs Cynthia Luk will retire as chief executive officer on 1 January 2018. It was announced at the charity’s 67th annual general meeting on 17 November that Mrs Luk would be succeeded by her deputy, Ms Josephine Lee. Ms Lee is a graduate of the social work department at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She joined St James Settlement in 1989 and became deputy chief executive officer in 2013. Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Matthew Cheung, was the officiating guest of honour at the annual general meeting. He praised St James’ Settlement for supporting the government’s elderly care policy and for utilizing innovative technology in poverty eradication.
