Christians reflects on the Passion in ecumenical walk
Publish Date: 13-Mar-2018
All Saints’ Cathedral joined parishes and committees from different denominations in organizing an ecumenical walk in Mong Kok on 3 March. Over a hundred Christians took part in the event to meditate upon the Passion and the resurrection of Christ amid the district’s hustle and bustle. From the Catholic parish of St Teresa to Ward Memorial Methodist Church, the walk was made up of four of the fourteen Stations of the Cross: Jesus Is Condemned to Death, Simon of Cyrene Helps Jesus Carry the Cross, Jesus Is Nailed to the Cross, and Jesus Dies on the Cross. Along the route, participants prayed by singing chants originating from the Taize Community; and at each station, a priests from the Catholic, Presbyterian, Anglican, or Methodist tradition shared a message with the participants, followed by silent prayers to make room for an encounter with God.
