Holy Carpenter Church approaches life education with an innovative take
Publish Date: 18-May-2018
Holy Carpenter Church District Elderly Community Centre held an exhibition that explored life education with the use of the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West from 6 to 21 April at Jao Tsung-i Academy. The project was coorganized by Jao Tsung-i Academy and funded by the Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemetaries. Through the characters of the novel, the exhibition portrayed the issues in the contemporary world, such as greed, lust, gluttony, helplessness, and problems with family education. The displays inspired the audience to meditate upon their essential objectives. Besides exhibits, audiences could also take part in the workshops that helped participants to come to terms with their emotions or forge closer ties with their families.
