Hongkongers Know Too Little about SEN

St. Christopher’s Home published the result of a survey on the general public’s knowledge of children with special educational needs. Among the interviewees, 35% of them did not know that delayed verbal expression or understanding is a common symptom found in those children suffering from autism, and more than 40% and 35% of the interviewees mistook medication for the treatments of autism and of dyslexia respectively.
