Community-Oriented Mutual Economy in Wan Chai Helps Improve Livelihood

Since 2001, St. James’ Settlement has organized residents in Wan Chai district to run a community-oriented mutual economy, with the aim to enlarge social capital based on a community economic development model. A feature of this project is the time coupons, which serve as a means of exchange for goods and services for the underprivileged within the neighbourhood to be alleviated from straitened circumstances.
