Archdeacon Andrew Pang passes away on 1 August aged 94

Archdeacon Andrew Pang, who retired in 1992 passed away on 1 August, at the age of ninety-four. Archbishop Paul Kwong expressed deep condolences for Archdeacon Pang’s passing. Archbishop Kwong said that since his ordination in 1950, Archdeacon Pang had served God and provided pastoral care to parishioners for many decades, and was a very senior cleric in the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui. Archdeacon Pang was dedicated to his pastoral role and remained enthusiastic about service and active in taking part in liturgical sacraments. Although he was suffering from ill-health in recent years, he remained committed to attending church services. Aside from that, Archdeacon Pang’s care for his parishioners makes him popular among them. Many parishioners visited him frequently during his last days. Archbishop Kwong prays that Archdeacon Pang rests in peace in God and that God would comfort his family.
