In response to the teaching of Jesus Christ in St. Matthew 22:39, “You shall love your neigbour as yourself”, the H.K.S.K.H. Archbishop World Relief Fund is founded by the Archbishop and Primate of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican) to provide emergency reliefs and humanitarian aids to people suffered in major human crises and natural disasters, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons, floods and droughts, etc.
The Archbishop’s Office oversees the Fund directly and charges no administrative fee. All donations to the Fund from members of the Church and acquired from other sources are used to provide reliefs at times of disaster as well as financial supports in subsequent rebuilding projects.
The Fund is a tax-exempt charity under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. Donations can be made to the Fund by direct bank-in through the Bank of East Asia: 514-40-53009-3 or by cheque payable to “H.K.S.K.H. Archbishop World Relief Fund” sent by post to The Provincial Office, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, Bishop’s House, No. 1 Lower Albert Road, Central, Hong Kong.
