Christian lawyers pray together for the new Legal Year

St Thomas More Society, a group of lawyers of Catholic and Protestant faiths, organized the annual Opening of the Legal Year Service at St Joseph’s Church on 13 January.

Cardinal John Tong Hon, Apostolic Administrator-Bishop Emeritus of the Roman Catholic, and the Rt Revd Andrew Chan, Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Western Kowloon officiated the service while the Rev Joseph Buzzo, Regional Vicar of Opus Dei in East Asia, preached.

Fr Buzzo reminded all those who maintain justice must be humble and listen to others as they cultivate virtue and get closer to God. They must also avoid making themselves indispensable by being generous with their knowledge as they train up successors so that when mistakes caused by human imperfection occur, God can still do the rest.
