Act of Love provides emergency aid to the needy

Publish Date: 07-Apr-2020

In mid-March, Act of Love appealed to the public to donate cash or supermarket coupons to help families with incomes felling during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to the enthusiastic response from our brothers and sisters, Act of Love collected a substantial amount of donation to aid those who are in emergency situations.

All eligible applicants/ families will receive HKD$ 500 worth of supermarket coupons. Act of Love will also provide cash aid to families experiencing extreme difficulties, for example, to finance low-income families to purchase tablets and data cards for their children so that they can continue learning via the web during school suspension, or to help support low-income people, who suffer chronic illnesses, to meet their medical bills. The upper limit of such cash aid is HK$2,500 per applicant or family.

The demand for emergency aid is on the rise and Act of Love so far received five hundred applications and many enquiries. Therefore, Act of Love continues to appeal to brothers and sisters for donations so that more people can share God’s love.

If you have any enquiries or would like to donate, please call Act of Love via its hotline 8209 8122.
