St Christopher’s Home recommends preparation for school resumption
Publish Date: 23-Jun-2020
Following the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic in Hong Kong, Form 3 to Form 5 students returned to school on 27 May. Primary 4 to Form 2 students returned on 8 June and Kindergarten 3 to Primary 3 students on 15 June. A three-month school suspension had interrupted the routines of the students’ school lives. Returning to school posed challenges to them because they need to readjust to a busy and disciplined class schedule. Ms Tsang Oi-ling, the resident social worker at St Christopher’s Home Kindergarten, suggested a 4A approach to parents to help their children be prepared for school by readjusting their daily schedules. The 4A approach is Adjustment, Acceptance, Appreciation and Accompany.
