Leisure Sports and Health Carnival

Over 1500 people braved the winter colds to take part in Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui’s biennial Leisure Sports and Health Carnival on 3 February at the adjacent campuses of St Mary’s Church Mok Hing Yiu College and SKH St Andrew’s Primary School.

The carnival was not only an event for church members to play sports, but also the kick-off event of the province’s 20^th anniversary celebrations. All participants received a scarf bearing the provincial crest and the 20^th anniversary logo.

In the opening speech, Archbishop Paul Kwong encouraged the participants to partake in the activities, because Christians need to be fit both physically and spiritually to serve God. This year the carnival offered a range of athletic events, fitness workouts, and talks that are suitable for all ages.
