The light of Christ disperses the darkness in our hearts

Many Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui churches held initiation rites for candidates during Easter Vigil on 20 April. The candidates promised to reject the devil and all rebellion against God, to renounce the deceit and corruption of evil and turn to Christ as Saviour. Through the initiation rites, the candidates died and resurrected with Christ. Other parishioners also proclaimed the faith of the Church through the liturgy and renewed their baptismal promises.

On 18 April, Maundy Thursday, bishops, priests, and deacons of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui took part in the Chrism Eucharist where oils for the sick, oils for the catechumen and oils for the Chrism were blessed, and the clergy renewed their commitment to priestly service.
