Publish Date: 30-Apr-2019

Tao Fung Shan Christian Centre and the Youth Working Group of the Diocese of Western Kowloon jointly organized a sharing session at All Saints Cathedral on 20 February to explore the spiritual approaches of the Communauté de Taizé and the Plum Village, a Buddhist monastic community.

Dr Jenny Chan, centre manager of the Breathe and Smile Mindbody Wellbeing Center; Dr Tong Wing-sze, director of Tao Fong Shan Christian Centre; the Revd Vincent Chan of St Matthias’ Church; and the Very Revd Jeremiah Fan, Dean of All Saints Cathedral, were invited to share with the participants their experiences in mindfulness training and praying through Taize chants. They also led the two hundred participants in mindfulness breathing exercises and Taize prayers to experience these two different spiritual traditions.
