Vestry members examine the weaknesses of spiritual leaders at retreat

The Diocese of Western Kowloon organized an annual retreat themed “Examining the weaknesses of church volunteers through the Book of Judges” for vestry members and volunteers on 11 May at All Saints’ Cathedral. The Revd Dr Nicholas Tai, vice president of the Lutheran Theological Seminary and professor of the Old Testament, was invited to deliver a keynote speech. He used Gideon and Samson’s stories to reflect upon the qualities of spiritual leaders. Before the start of the keynote speech, participants prayed through Taize chants to help themselves the focus.
