Eighth General Synod approves amendments to Constitution and Canons

The Eighth General Synod of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui was held at St James’ Church between 23 and 25 June. The general synod approved four motions, namely, one on amendments on the Liturgical Calendar and three on changing the composition of the electoral college of Diocesan Bishop. Delegates also participated in an adjournment discussion on increasing lay members in the diocesan synods and in a group discussion on how to implement the Church Policy Paper.
