Religious Education Resource Centre releases new discipleship training materials

Many parishes and mission churches use Emmaus: The Way of Faith as the course book to prepare catechumen for baptism or discipleship training. The Religious Education Resource Centre published a new version of the book. Apart from amendments to the parts on nurturing and growth, the new version also simplified or rewritten some chapters to meet the needs of the churches.

As a measure to encourage churches to continue to use Emmaus: The Way of Faith, the Religious Education Resource Centre and the Standing Commission on Theological Education s conducted a course from 8–15 May at All Saint Cathedral to use the new version of the book to train leaders. Over sixty clerics and parishioners participated.
