Eternal Father, who gave your servant Jerome great delight in his study of the holy scriptures: grant that with your word ever on our lips, we may reflect upon it night and day, hold fast to its commands, and direct our lives according to its teaching; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, to whom with you and the Holy Spirit be all honour and glory, now and for ever. Amen.
