Anglican Alliance Introduces Its Mission in Hong Kong

The Anglican Alliance is dedicated to supporting member churches of the Anglican Communion all over the world to provide “development, relief and advocacy” to those in need. To promote understanding and further cooperation in the future, the Anglican Alliance held a reception in Hong Kong on 17 March, introducing its mission and work to the priests, the HKSKH Welfare Council and its member agencies, and all invited corporations and social service organizations. The Most Revd Dr Paul Kwong gave a welcoming speech at the event. The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd Justin Welby, also relayed a message through a video clip. Co-executive director of the Anglican Alliance the Revd Rachel Carnegie introduced their work and the Revd Desmond Cox and Canon Andrew Khoo also gave speeches respectively. The secretariat of the Anglican Alliance is based in London at the Anglican Communion office.
