SKH Tin Shui Wai Ling Oi Primary School celebrates its 15th anniversary
Publish Date: 22-May-2017
SKH Tin Shui Wai Ling Oi Primary School celebrated its 15th anniversary on 31 March. Celebrations included a thanksgiving worship in which Bishop Andrew Chan preached. During the sermon, Bishop Chan encouraged the staff and students at the school to set Jesus Christ as an example to search for, and realize, a broader ideal. Fifteen years ago, the then school supervisor, school managers and teachers of Ling Oi harboured great dreams when they set up a whole-day millennium school in Tin Shui Wai. Throughout the years, they persisted with these dreams and invested resources into the school to enhance the abilities of students so that they may live up to their full potential. He also said that the school is a place where ideals are realized. The school also held the opening ceremony of its STEM Centre on the same day. The Under Secretary for Education, Mr Kevin Yeung, and Archbishop Paul Kwong officiated the ceremony and were then joined by Bishop Chan, Mr Chang Keung Tse (the chief executive of the Anglican (Hong Kong) Primary Schools Council), the Revd Cindy Kwok (the school supervisor), and the school managers in a switch-on ceremony to turn a new page in the school’s STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programme. After the ceremony, guests toured the STEM Centre and listened to the students’ presentations.
