Joy is in midst of adversity, teachers told

A thematic talk was held on 21 October in SKH Holy Cross Primary School. It was organized by the Anglican (Hong Kong) Primary Schools Council and the student guidance officers in affiliated schools. Dr Ng Shu-sum, an associate professor specializing in death education and counseling at the National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences, was invited to talk about how to face the turmoil in life with a joyful heart. Dr Ng stressed that people need to believe in the beauty of life and find joy even in the face of challenges. He said that teachers cannot deliver their students from the pressures of exams and family life, but they can teach them to find enjoyment despite difficulties facing them.
