Over 105,000 participants joined the Hong Kong Gospel Festival 2017 between 30 November and 3 December at the Hong Kong Stadium. This massive evangelistic meeting was split into seven sessions. Four were open to all, while the other three targeted Mandarin speakers, non-Chinese, and secondary school students respectively. In the last session, the Revd Samuel Lai, who is commonly known as the “Pastor of Temple Street”, and former deputy commissioner of police Mr Tony Wong gave Christian witness. Former president of the Methodist Church of Hong Kong the Revd Dr Li Ping-kwong preached a sermon and called for response, and Archbishop Paul Kwong imparted the blessing.
