Li Ping Secondary School students to take part in national STEM competition

Li Ping Secondary School participated in the Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, held between April and May this year. Three third-form students won first prize and best project award with their Mechanic Prosthetic Hand. Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of Hong Kong, presented them their trophies and certificates at the awards ceremony, held on 15 April at the Hong Kong Science Park.

Two fourth-form students won the second prize in the senior secondary division of the math, physics, and engineering category with their Self-turning Bolt, Nut and Driver project. Their prize was presented by the Secretary for Education, Kevin Yeung.

The two groups of students have been nominated by the Hong Kong Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition to take part in the 33rd China Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest in Chongqing this August.
