Videos and photos collection for multimedia project for the 20^th Anniversary of

the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui

It is a pleasure to invite all Hong Kog Sheng Kung Hui Parishes and Mission Churches, Schools and Social Services Institutions to join us in celebrating the 20^th Anniversary of the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui by contributing two short clips and one photo for a multimedia project which will be published on various social media platforms.

The details of the collection are in the “Rules & Guidelines” as follows. We would be most grateful if teachers, students, service users and parishioners would contribute to the collection.

Rules and Guidelines

1. Aim:

To provide a platform for all Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Parishes and Mission Churches, Schools and Social Services Institutions to celebrate the 20^th Anniversary of the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui by contributing material to a multimedia project.

2. Entrants (participants):

a. Secondary Schools (Teachers and Students)*

b. Primary Schools (Teachers and Students)*

c. Social Services Institutions

d. Parishes and Mission Churches

*Students as the main contributors/producers

3. Deadline:

All entries must be submitted by June 8, 2018.

4. Content of video and photo

a. Theme of the video

The first video illustrates how the Schools, Social Services Institutions, Parishes or Mission Churches live their faith in action (i.e. as prayers, pilgrims, sojourners, witnesses and/or stewards).

In the second video, the participants say together the tag line ‘Our Faith; Our Way’ and the congratulations message ‘Happy 20^th anniversary to The province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui!’.

b. Length of the video

The total duration of the two video clips should NOT be longer than one minute and thirty seconds.

c. Theme of the photo

The photo should show the distinctive features of the entrant.

d. Format of the video and photo

The two videos should be shot by smart phones (e.g. iPhone 7 or later models) in landscape orientation and in MP4 format (resolution at 1080p or above). The photo should also be in landscape orientation and in JPEG format.

5. Submission:

Entrants should submit two videos (in MP4 format) AND one photo (in JPEG format). The total file size of the two video clips and photo should NOT be larger than 2GB.

The naming of file should follow the format set below:

For video entry: [name of the entrant]_01.mp4 and [name of the entrant]_02.mp4

For photo entry: [name of the entrant]_photo.jpg

For example, video submission from St Stephen’s Chapel will be st_stephens_chapel_01.mp4 and st_stephens_chapel_02.mp4; and

photo submission will be st_stephens_chapel_photo.jpg

Entrant should send an email to hkskh20.videoproject@gmail.com on or before June 8, 2018 with the following information:

a. The downloadable link of the videos and photo (e.g. from Google Drive or Dropbox)

b. Name of the entrant: Schools/ Social Services Institutions, Parishes or Mission Churches

c. Name, email address and phone number of the contact person

*The Organizing Committee will download the videos and photos the latest by end of July.

6. Rules and regulations:

a. The copyright of all entries shall vest in the Organizing Committee, who has the right to exhibit, print and use for production of publications through any media as well as to use entrants’ names and photos for non-commercial promotion without obtaining the prior consent of the entrants. All submission will not be returned.

b. Entrants must obtain authorization of all performers in the videos and the photo for the Organizing Committee to exhibit, print and non-commercial use of the videos and the photos through any media.

c. If materials like music, images, video images or movie clips owned by other parties are used in the entries, the entrants must obtain the relevant authorization.

d. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make the final decision whether the videos and photos will be used.
