The organizing committee of the 180th Anniversary of the Foundation of Sheng Kung Hui in Hong Kong cum the 25th Anniversary of the Inauguration of the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui will co-organize with The Standing Commission on Theological Education a retreat for all members. All parishes and missionary parishes are invited. The guest speaker will be the Catholic Bishop of Hong Kong. The Most Revd Stephen Chow will speak on “The Spiritual Cultivation of Christian Leaders” with commentary by Archbishop Andrew Chan. With many members of the laity gathered for the retreat, the day will also for kick-off ceremony to mark the occasion of the 180th Anniversary of the Foundation of Sheng Kung Hui in Hong Kong cum the 25th Anniversary of the inauguration of the Province celebrations. A short film will be screened in which Archbishop Emeritus Peter Kwong will give an account of the story behind the Province’s inauguration, Archbishop Emeritus Paul Kwong will review the Province’s contribution to the Anglican Communion thus far, and Archbishop Andrew Chan will share his views on what is to come for the Province.
