1) O send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling. (Psalm 43:3)

1) Merciful Lord, who turned Augustine from his sins to be a faithful bishop and teacher: Grant that we may follow him in penitence and discipline till our restless hearts find their rest in you; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

2) O God, according to your will, some receive words of wisdom, others receive the language of knowledge and yet others receive constancy of faith, each receive their gifts through the same Holy Spirit: we praise you for the manifestation of your grace through your servant Augustine, grant O Lord, that your Church may never lack such gifts of grace; we ask this through your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.
